Each plan includes both a daily and monthly limit. Once you reach either limit, additional emails are rejected until the next day (daily) or billing cycle (monthly). You will receive a warning at 80% and 100% of your limit on the dashboard.

Payment methods

Payments are processed through Paystack, billed in KES. The methods available at checkout are the ones Paystack offers for your account, which include card (Visa / Mastercard) and mobile money. No currency conversion is required - all prices are in KES.

How to upgrade

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Plan section and click Change Plan.
  3. Select your desired plan and confirm.
  4. You are redirected to a Paystack checkout page to complete payment.
  5. After paying, Paystack returns you to Taifa Mail, which verifies the transaction.

You can also compare plans on the /pricing page in the dashboard.

When the payment is verified as successful, your plan is upgraded immediately - the higher daily and monthly limits apply right away, and your subscription period runs roughly a month from that point. If a plan switch creates a new subscription, the previous Paystack subscription is disabled so you are not charged twice.

Some plan changes are handled as a request rather than instant self-service checkout. In that case Taifa Mail records an upgrade request and the team follows up to arrange the change.

How to cancel

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Plan section.
  3. Click Cancel Subscription.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens when you cancel

  • The subscription is set to not renew. Your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
  • When the period ends and Paystack disables the subscription, your account downgrades to the Free plan.
  • You keep all your data (domains, logs, suppressions).
  • Features that exceed Free plan limits become read-only (e.g. extra domains cannot send, but are not deleted).

If you are unsure about cancelling, you can downgrade to a lower paid plan instead of cancelling entirely. Go to Settings -> Plan -> Change Plan and select a lower tier.

Renewals

Paid plans renew automatically each billing period through your saved Paystack payment method.

  • About 3 days before a renewal charge, Taifa Mail emails you a reminder and posts an in-app notification with the amount due.
  • If a card on your subscription is about to expire, Taifa Mail notifies you so you can update it before the next charge.

Payment history

After each successful payment, a receipt is sent to your account email address. You can also view your payment history - amount, status, payment method, and date - under Settings. Each entry corresponds to a Paystack transaction.

Refund policy

Taifa Mail does not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued.

If a renewal charge fails, your subscription is flagged for attention and you are notified by email and in-app to update your payment method. If the subscription is ultimately disabled without a successful payment, your account is downgraded to the Free plan. You can upgrade again at any time.
