Managing Messages
Read, archive, snooze and re-process incoming messages in the Taifa Mail inbox.
Once mail is arriving in your Inbox, you can triage it much like any mail client.
Reading a message
Click any message to open it. The detail view shows the full headers, the parsed body, authentication results (SPF/DKIM/DMARC for the sender), and a routing log that explains how the message was handled. Opening a message marks it as read.
Attachments
Attachments on an incoming message are listed in the detail view and can be downloaded individually.
Organising your inbox
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Archive | Removes the message from the main inbox view. Archived messages stay under the Archived view and can be unarchived back into the inbox. |
| Snooze | Hides the message until a date and time you choose. The snooze time must be in the future. The message returns to the inbox automatically once that time passes. You can also clear a snooze early to return it now. |
| Mark as read | Sets the message's read state. Read state is stored server-side, so it is consistent across devices. Marking as read is set once and is not reversed. |
Use the Inbox, Archived and Snoozed views to switch between them.
Replaying a message
If you create or fix a forwarding rule after a message has already arrived, you can replay it. Replaying re-evaluates the stored message against the current forwarding rules without the sender having to send it again. This is also useful when a destination webhook was failing at the time the message first arrived.
Replay requires an active forwarding rule whose source address matches the message's recipient. If no such rule exists, the replay is rejected.
Replay re-runs forward delivery only - it does not duplicate the message in your inbox. Each replay produces a fresh forward delivery, so replaying more than once results in more than one forwarded copy.
